BLACK LAVA - Signing Announcement (2022)

Season of Mist is proud to announce the signing of BLACK LAVA, the newly born experimental groove metal band from Australia! Formed late 2021, after months of setbacks and turbulence of the uncertain 2020/2021 period - Ben (Vipassi, AMDBL, Hadal Maw) and Dan (Vipassi, AMDBL, Ne Obliviscaris) got together for a creative session to try and inject some spark back into their musical lives. Some ideas were formed, and before long, an idea and concept came to mind. Quickly realizing the project's sound, Tim Anderson (Blackhelm) and Rob Watkins (Blackhelm) were recruited, and two months later an entire record was written. The band then entered Bushido studios to record their debut between Christmas and New Year in 2021. The record was then mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan) and mastered by Alan Douches at West West side.
