Vanished
Something disturbing nagging him about his shape a feeling of dissolving, losing mass at steady pace what was this contracted sickness?
He bought himself a mirror with gold laced frame to study his own body and blame imagination
this could not be real
Fading flesh, his skin turning translucent
he felt deceived but knew the mirror wasn’t lying to him he stared for endless days
while his reflection was becoming weaker, beyond repair, no medicine yet discovered that could save him
Day by day, fade away
locked himself inside his house to isolate turning more transparent, sensitive to air must break this curse before it’s too late
Every time he passed the mirror more of him had disappeared
his anxiety, soon all that would be left tried to punch the mirror into shards but there was no response
Couldn’t grip a thing, a helpless soul
Could see through his own pale body
mirror smiling back at the empty carcass he was as made out of glass, hating that old frame
man of fog, never to return again
Soon to be extinct and clear as daylight
“-No more me!” he thought and saw right through his hand
Now floating without weight, the self was almost gone an itsy bitsy piece of once his full size form
to leave the physical nature and join a timeless void
see through, vaporized
whatever caused this thing, a mystery unsolved now gone, nothing left
Fading flesh, his skin turning translucent
he felt deceived but knew the mirror wasn’t lying to him He stared for endless days
while his reflection was becoming weaker, beyond repair, no medicine yet discovered that could save him
now emptiness
Every time he passed the mirror more of him had disappeared
his anxiety, soon all that would be left tried to punch the mirror into shards but there was no response
Couldn’t grip a thing, a helpless soul

Aunt Christie's Will

Aunt Christie’s Will
The will was read out loud to Wilfred
the only living heir to aunt Christie’s estate she was so wealthy, stingy not bounteous now greedy Wilfred could finally collect
But all he got, a wooden box with number 5 etched on the lid
the rest got donated according to her will disappointed, upset and angry
he opened only to find
a hand drawn map of sorts what was this game?
Still too curious to not explore the map which led him far and remote
he drove for several hours deep into a dark forest until he finally found the spot
On the ground he found another box but this time it had a 4 on it and inside a note that read;
“Dig deep dear Wilfred and rich you shall become” under a pile of leaves he found a shovel
He put the shovel to the ground, so eager digging away started building up a pile as the hole began expanding after a few hours the shovel hit
something that looked familiar a wooden box marked number 3
the note inside said; “you are almost there” what was this game?
The night was creeping in
but good ol’ Wilfred kept digging like possessed failed to see just how deep he was
The man in the hole, he hit number 2
the note said the same, while his palms had turned blue
Covered in dirt and sweat
fanatically toiling with a heavy breath the price is mine he thought
if it takes all night I’ll find the ONE!
Finally, he felt a thump
and dropped down to his knees exhausted he could see the number 1
on the lid that he now opened
Staring shocked in disbelief
the box he held was bland and empty screaming out in agony;
“-Just what the hell is this aunt Christie!?” what was this game?
Poor Wilfred realized, his hole was now his grave as he could not get out, that aunt was a bitch

Never to Awake

Never to Awake
Waking up every single night soaked in sweat
reoccurring nightmares plagued his mind for years now to die within a dream, unlikely
Alas this poor soul was doomed
Considering a suicide
and after that all would be fine but hope of sleep would not let go
I’ll give it one more night he thought went to bed and closed his eyes
soon found himself in helpless dire the nightmare finally took his life
peace at last denied
Awake again but in no bed, now physically stuck within this space screams of pain and horror echoed from his throat in complete vain the realization sunk in, dead and forever here trapped
there must be some way out, a secret door, a map to escape this hell
The dread he feared was now perpetual lost in his mind, a mental asylum
his chronic nightmare, his only view
the depths of horror grew for each breath he took
Must get out
clawing at the walls, stomping on the floor shakes of panic
tears and snot and blood dripping from his body hyperventilation, how long could he keep this up “-Get me out, get me out!”
was all that he could muster
starting to fatigue, soon all that drove him was attrition
The exhaustion won the battle been awake in a dream forever
the need for sleep was imminent
as he fell and crawled into a corner
but what he did not know was that his dream to come was this world amplified, never to get out

The Tree

The Tree
A discovery was made
by chance by the world of science an organic piece of black
slow and smearing movements, hidden in a mountain
A fearless man
chosen by the cowards in command to step into the black hole
and investigate what treasures it would hold
And step he did, straight into the unknown gate
struck by a void, seeming endless but with one exception
Carried on in the dark beyond
ignored the creepy feeling that maybe this was wrong scavenger of the most appalling kind
didn’t mind disturbing whatever was growing here
Soon his flashlight pointed towards something unseen what occurred to be a strange upside down tree hanging from the branches was these gleaming crystals his first thought was to fill his backpack to the brim
as he picked his first dangling price a distant scream of terror echoed bothered by it but too greedy
with a smirk continuing his grabbing
He kept undressing the tree the scrupulous vile spelunker as something captured his eye the stone on top, greatest of all
Kept ascending to the top
not too careful, scraping bits of tender bark not too worried about the distant screams
that had manifested each time he took from the tree
Clawing as he climbed
he reached the stone of unknown kind ripped it from its nest
he felt so proud, no shreds of consciousness
But with his blind behavior he managed to crack the tree the upside root fell over and with it so did he
As he got back on his feet, slightly bruised he felt accomplished never mind the fucking tree, that ecological deformation
Carried on in the dark beyond
ignored the creepy feeling that maybe this was wrong scavenger of the most appalling kind
didn’t mind disturbing, no more growth here
started to walk back to the hole with his treasures
He thought of his return now rich and recognized
he entered through the gate with all the gems he found
standing there with total panic, everything was dead around him death had claimed all life existing, no more trees to climb

Retromorphosis
Loqui ad Deum
I was lost, searching like a lamb for hope
in a world where nothing ever made no sense tried to reach the one and only Jehovah
Praying day and night for a recall from the father like a gift from up on high
within my mind I heard him speaking
sounding loud and clear, like a voice into my ear I’m the one, chosen son, gifted and reborn
oh maker keep talking
all the wisdom channeled to me never will I beg of it to end
Speak to God, treading in uncharted realms
it would not stop, but was there a connection to the lord?
The more I learned, the more I felt uneasy I felt distorted without no light
the bringer of all answers would not stop babbling for weeks it kept on spewing, this can’t be right
This strain of insanity, whispering not a moment of a quiet patch
as my world contracted different ills what was this fucking curse
Scratching in the walls, I was not alone something was involved, not heaven
I felt paralyzed and robbed of all my movement voiceless and impaired, torture kept on growing
something spoke to me and now I knew it was not God Praying day and night for a recall from the father
like a gift from up on high
within my mind I heard him speaking
sounding loud and clear, like a voice into my ear I’m the one, chosen son, gifted and reborn
oh maker keep talking
all the wisdom channeled to me never will I beg of it to end
Speak to God, terror on the receiving end unwilful bond, this hostage situation must end Years has flown since I sought answers
now I’m caged under surveillance force-fed pills, still all I hear is
voice of God, it never leaves me

Machine
For centuries humans plagued our mother earth not to sustain, only greed in mind
soon it will die and life will be no more
war, famine and despair had led us to the brink the countdown clock was ticking
collective reasoning, now!
A clean love for the machine
it was the answer to all dreams the total failure was unseen
there is no escape from this abomination the praise, everyone in awe
fucked by the bastardized man-made savior it would never stop, couldn’t be turned off
once a fine sensation, turned extermination
A remedy to save us all
brilliant minds standing side by side
their expertise concocted a blueprint to design with every circuit set
planks, screws and glue in place
the build was massive so they named it “FATE” perfected structure but so wrong
A clean love for the machine
it was the answer to all dreams the total failure was unseen
there is no escape from this abomination the praise, everyone in awe
fucked by the bastardized man-made savior it would never stop, couldn’t be turned off
once a fine sensation, turned extermination
Oh FATE, people holding hands and tears was falling as they held their breath and activated
the beast of science’s glory
the rumbling noise, the smoking chimneys blinking lights and squeaking cogs
mechanical messiah
Soon after the ignition everyone was still in daze
it’s pace was shifting, the apparatus seemed to change suspended springs kept stretching
something was going wrong kept scratching their heads
a self-awareness was confirmed
Its purpose deleted, ignoring all directives
the scheming within it, a brew of terror to come
Started to pump out a massive cloud
the sky got swallowed, not a glimpse of light screaming alarms, wailing sirens cried
massive hysteria evolving
the chaos spread, all order had disintegrated the machines clank kept escalating
the doom of dooms, no plug to pull, end of days was real
Damnation followed
grotesque it stood in all its glory
A clean love for the machine
it was the answer to all dreams the total failure was unseen
there is no escape from this abomination the praise, everyone in awe
fucked by the bastardized man-made savior
it would never stop, couldn’t be turned off
once a fine sensation, turned extermination
Chemicals pouring down, touching everyone carpets of fire spreading out
no one could escape it
release of gas, each breath was toxic couldn’t turn off the machine
no prayer could stop this mayhem
What man had created, infernal gestation
apocalyptic mammoth, death and destruction fed it it will never need replacement parts indeed
it shall last forever wicked as may be corpses and ashes cover the earth
no one left who prophesized the marvel of its birth

Exalted Splendour
Fascinated from an early age by the glowing ball of light a deep attraction to the star above
warm and sweet, always there to comfort
deeply warned to never stare directly into the sun but her gaze kept steering to the sky
the rarest of connections
“-Oh take me!”
she cried to the shimmer in the clouds
my soul belongs to thee, life giver, almighty fire this dark earth, I hate it
was all she felt behind her scorching eyes
I’ll join your ranks, stare I must ‘til you take my hand
The world became so vague stroboscopic reality
blinks and flashes rained
still content with a smile endured
Her idea to join the light
no one knows where it came from but with loyalty like that
comes a price, unimaginable even thou everyone tried
to persuade her different, she persisted as her pupil caught the beams
deep inside she felt alive
From blur to complete blindness, she’s stumbling around
“-Now all I have is darkness!”, poor Iris screamed and cried she felt the sun was shining and touching her pale skin
but to her heartfelt sorrow, unable to be seen
Fascinated from an early age by the glowing ball of light a deep attraction to the star above
warm and sweet, always there to comfort
deeply warned to never stare directly into the sun but her gaze kept steering to the sky
the rarest of connections
“-Oh take me!”
she cried to the shimmer in the clouds
my soul belongs to thee, life giver, almighty fire this dark earth, I hate it
was all she felt behind her scorching eyes
I’ll join your ranks, stare I must ‘til you take my hand
Fragments of vision all gone, sacrificed
she felt betrayed, the damage stole her precious light the thing she hated is now her all
the thing she wanted stole her eyes and gave her nothing
Not even shadows can penetrate the black she’s in her journey to the light, a feeble dream not realized
she felt the sun was shining and touching her pale skin but to her heartfelt sorrow, unable to be seen
