About Funeral
Since its formation in Norway in 1991, Funeral has grown to cult status in the heavy metal underworld. The band is led by former Old Man’ Child bassist, Frodo Forsmo, whose voice ranges from somber eulogizing to chorus-like chanting. With its unique blend of gothic, doom metal, and film score qualities, Funeral frequently challenges the definition of metal with rich textures and vocal tranquility. Over the years, Funeral has overcome the tragic losses of two of its founding members. However, the band has found the strength to push forward and find inspiration through those experiences.
